For those that are serious about quitting, it is a good idea to make sure that you are well aware of the things that will make your relapse before you even begin to try to stop smoking.
#1. Feel Sorry For Yourself
One of the worst things you can do is to feel self-pity every time you see someone else smoke. This would be a feeling that would be comparable to a child who is grounded but sits at the window to watch how much fun the other kids are having. What a terrible feeling that must bring!
#2. Have A Lack Of Confidence
You have tried to quit smoking before and you failed so now you do not have any self-confidence. Some people believe that there is no point to trying to stop smoking again because they “know” they will pick the habit right back up.
#3. Blame Others
Whether it is your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, mother, father, sister, brother, co-worker, or the mailman, there are always going to be people around you that are smoking. It is rather easy to blame them for not being able to quit smoking. The thing is though; you have to take responsibility for the choices that you make.
#4. Make Discretions In Your Quitting Program
What would one more hurt? Just one more cigarette and no one will be hurt by it. Wrong, you will be hurt by it. When you start a quitting program, you have to stick with it. If you allow yourself just one you will quickly find that it becomes a whole lot more.
You can find find quitting smoking programs at quit smoking reviews.
#5. Be Very Impatient
Hating how hard this whole thing is and realizing that it is month two and you still sometimes want a cigarette must mean that there is no hope for you. Again, this is the wrong way to think. Quitting smoking is a process and one that is going to take time.
There are fast ways to quit smoking like stop smoking laser treatment but they don’t always work.
